NASA and SpaceX are planning for the Crew 12 mission to undock from the International Space Station no earlier than 8:05 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, October 7, depending on weather conditions, NASA News reported. According to NASA News, the crew is scheduled to splash down off the coast of California at around 11:34 a.m. on Thursday, October 8. [1]

The uncrewed or crewed mission return involves four spacefarers who completed an extended science mission on the orbit station, according to reports from NASA News and The Defense Watch. NASA News reported that the crew consists of NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, European Space Agency astronaut Sophie Adenot, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev. [1][2]

NASA News stated that live coverage of the Crew 12 return will be streamed across various platforms as the spacecraft completes its departure from the orbital laboratory and heads to its landing site. [1]
