Google and NASA are collaborating to develop an artificial intelligence medical robot designed to assist astronauts on future deep-space missions to the Moon and Mars. The Hans India, The Times of India, TechRadar, Mezha.net, and ProPakistani all reported that the technology aims to provide medical support as exploration progresses. [1][2][8][9][10]

The project focuses on creating autonomous medical systems capable of assisting crews when distance prevents direct, real-time consultation with doctors on Earth. According to TechRadar and Mezha.net, the system will serve as a robotic medical assistant for long-duration spaceflight. [8][9]

The news comes alongside other developments in NASA Mars exploration programs. ScienceDaily Space and Time reported that the uncrewed Perseverance rover reached a milestone on Sol 2006, October 11, 2026, by driving 28.10 miles across the surface of Mars using autonomous navigation technology. [3]

In addition, reports from Udaipur Kiran, Starlust.org, and Tech My Money noted that the four-person crew of NASA CHAPEA Mission 2 completed a 378-day simulated Mars isolation mission inside a ground-based habitat. [4][5][6]
