Satellite ground infrastructure developer Northwood Space secured 375 million dollars in a Series C funding round on Monday, November 2, 2026. SatNews, Via Satellite, and TechCrunch all reported that the financing values the company at two billion dollars post-money. SatNews and TechCrunch both noted that venture capital firms Andreessen Horowitz and DFJ Growth co-led the investment round. [1][3][10]

SatNews reported that the company pairs flat-panel phased-array antennas with cloud-based scheduling and automated data-routing software. According to SatNews and Via Satellite, the fresh capital is earmarked to scale up antenna manufacturing and expand the operational footprint of the shared ground station network. Satellite Today added that Northwood Space plans to grow its workforce by 400 people over the next three years to support this network expansion. [1][3]

Northwood Space was co-founded by Chief Executive Officer Bridgit Mendler. Mendler enrolled at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard Law School between 2017 and 2024 before co-founding the satellite data startup. Instead of satellite operators constructing dedicated individual infrastructure, the company operates a shared ground station network for routing data. [1][3][14]
