NASA Astronaut Christina Koch Attends NFL Game in Philadelphia

NASA astronaut Christina Koch will appear at the National Football League game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Rams in Philadelphia on Sunday, October 4. NASA News reported that Koch's appearance is part of the space agency's Inspiration Tour to highlight national achievements in space exploration and aeronautics innovation. [1]

Koch served as a mission specialist on the uncrewed and crewed Artemis program efforts, including the Artemis II lunar flyby mission in April 2026. On that mission, she became the only woman to travel beyond low Earth orbit and around the Moon, while setting a record for the furthest human distance from Earth. [1][4]

During her earlier mission to the International Space Station in 2019 and 2020, Koch participated in the first all-female spacewalk. She also set the record for the longest continuous spaceflight by a woman. [4]
