Chinese commercial launch provider LandSpace successfully launched a Zhuque-2E carrier rocket from Launch Area 96A at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. SatNews reported that the uncrewed vehicle lifted off at 7:40 a.m. Eastern time, placing ten satellites into their planned sun-synchronous orbits. [1]
The primary payload consisted of eight orbital data center test spacecraft developed by ADAspace Technology. SatNews noted that two secondary communications satellites were also deployed during the mission. SatNews and SatNews Publishers both covered the launch details. [1][4]
The launch highlights growing efforts to move computational workloads into orbit. According to SatNews, placing data centers in space is intended to address terrestrial power constraints and mitigate ground station downlink bottlenecks. BigGo Finance noted that LandSpace has launched ten satellites twice within a span of 29 days. [1][2]
